Current Employment Opportunities
Bennco Engineering values the contributions of individuals from all backgrounds.
We create an inclusive environment where all employees are empowered to reach their full potential, regardless of gender, culture, age, language, race, or disability.
Residential Apprenticeship Program
Our Residential Apprenticeship Program is a standout initiative that has been in operation since 2020, delivering meaningful upskilling and employment outcomes for regional youth. Developed in partnership with Tom Price Senior High School and local Indigenous groups, the Program is a trade recognition and training pathway for individuals with aptitude and site experience. Apprentices undertake a four-year program that combines:
- Hands-on site work across our Tom Price and Paraburdoo facilities
- Structured coursework aligned to nationally recognised trade qualifications
- One-on-one mentorship from experienced tradespeople and managers.
The Program provides training pathways across five core disciplines:
- Fabrication
- Heavy fabrication
- Boilermaking
- Sheet metal work
- Specialised welding.
We typically recruit four apprentices each year, with the recruitment process starting in March. For more information, please reach out via (08) 9189 3449.
Shutdown Support
Bennco Engineering delivers 30+ shutdowns annually across Rio Tinto’s inland and coastal Pilbara operations, requiring the ability to scale our workforce rapidly and reliably. Our recruitment approach for additional shutdown labour combines multiple channels to ensure we mobilise qualified, site-ready personnel within 24 hours.
We supply coded welders, fitters, and riggers as shutdown backfill labour for both our own projects and client operations. Our pre-qualified labour pool is maintained through ongoing recruitment, vetting, and site-readiness checks, ensuring personnel hold current qualifications, site inductions, and client-specific training before mobilisation.
